New PAC Project version R10.2002 now available

Take advantage of several fixes and improvements in this latest release of the PAC Project software suite, both Basic and Professional editions.

We've recently released PAC Project version R10.1 with enhancements and a few bug fixes foreach PAC Project application: PAC Control, PAC Display, OptoOPCServer, and PAC Manager.

When you're troubleshooting system problems, PAC Manager can be a big help. That's because PAC Manager communicates directly with your controllers and I/O units.

You're probably already familiar with PAC Manager's Inspect window, where you can see detailed status data on an I/O unit or controller. This tip shows you a way to create your own custom checks on anything in the Inspect window.

Three new updates have recently been released:

This post isn’t about home automation, however. It’s about getting the firmware upgrade done and configuring the HTTP/S RESTful server. And in doing so, it was important to me (and my application) that I preserved the persistent control system variables used in my control strategies. So...the following are the steps I took to upgrade my firmware while preserving important data and getting started with REST.
